Confirmation of marriage between John Londors and Mary Ann Schofield

I’ve just found documentary evidence confirming my hunch – that the maiden name of Mary Ann Londors, my great-great-great grandmother, was Schofield. Searching the Essex Archives Online, I came across a record of the marriage of John Londors and Mary Schofield, in the church of St. Margaret, Barking, on 31 December 1826.

The record also confirms a second theory of mine, that this was my great-great-great grandfather’s second marriage (I wondered about this, because of the age difference of about 16 years between him and Mary): the record states that John Londors was a widower.

I have a theory about who his first wife might have been, which I’ll share in another post.
