I’ve obtained a copy of the will of Penelope Young, widow of John Young and before that of George Robb (see these posts). Penelope died on 8 December 1849, leaving household furniture and cash to a total of £35, 15s and 2d. She was probably around 72 years old when she died.
George Robb, presumably her son by her first marriage, was appointed as executor of the will. He is described as a veterinary surgeon, thus confirming that he is the person whose record I found in the 1851 census. George would have been about 43 at the time of his mother’s death.
