Another son of George Robb (1804 – 1880) (see last post) was also married at the Episcopal church in Tillymorgan. Alexander Robb (1836 – 1899), then a 22 year old farm servant, married Bathia Hardie (1836 – 1878), also 22 and a domestic servant, from Chapel of Garioch, on 4th December 1856. She was the daughter of agricultural labourer James Hardie. The witnesses were George Robb (Alexander’s father?) and William Hardie. So far, I haven’t been able to decipher the name of the officiating minister, but it wasn’t James Gammack, who did not arrive in the parish until three years later.
