William Byne was born in about 1510 in Sussex, probably in Burwash. He married Joan in about 1530 and died in 1559.

Magnus Byne, son of Stephen and Mary Byne, was born in Burwash, Sussex, in 1615. He married firstly Anne Wane in 1640 and secondly Sarah Bartlett in 1662. Magnus Byne was the rector of Clayton-cum-Keymer, Sussex, and died there in 1671.
John Byne, son of Magnus and Anne Byne, was born in Clayton, Sussex, in 1651. He married Alice Forrest, daughter of Thomas Forrest and Anne Borrowes, in about 1675. John Byne was a stationer in the parish of St Botolph, Aldgate, London, and died there in 1690.
Mary Byne, daughter of John and Alice Byne, was born in the parish of St Botolph, Aldgate, London, in 1683. She married goldsmith Joseph Greene, son of Captain William Greene and Elizabeth Elliott, in 1701.
