Fowle

William Fowle died in 1478 in Lamberhurst, then in Sussex but now in Kent. He seems to have been the father of Nicholas Fowle.

Nicholas Fowle, son of William Fowle, was born in about 1470, probably in Lamberhurst. Nicholas Fowle married Elizabeth in about 1490. He died in Lamberhurst in 1523.

Gabriel Fowle, son of Nicholas and Elizabeth Fowle, was born in about 1500, probaby in Lamberhurst. He was married in about 1525. He was the master of the Free Grammar School in Lewes, Sussex. Gabriel Fowle died in 1555 in Southover, Lewes.

Magnus Fowle, son of Gabriel Fowle, was born in about 1528, probably in Lewes, Sussex. He married Alice Lucke, daughter of Richard Lucke of Mayfield, in about 1555. Magnus Fowle lived at Mayfield and was a county coroner for Sussex. He died in 1595.

Agnes Fowle, daughter of Magnus and Alice Fowle, was born in about 1556, probably in Mayfield, Sussex. She married Edward Byne, son of William and Joan Byne of Burwash, in 1575.
