Manser

(Note: This surname is sometimes written as Manser, sometimes as Maunser. For the sake of simplicity, I have used the former spelling throughout.)

Robert Manser was probably born in Sussex some time in the 15th century. He was knighted by King Richard III. He married Margaret and died at Hightown, Wadhurst, Sussex.

Walter Manser, son of Robert and Margaret Manser was born in the second half of the 15th century at Hightown, Wadhurst, Sussex. He probably died there in the early decades of the 16th century.

Christopher Manser, son of Walter Manser, was born at Hightown, Wadhurst, Sussex in about 1500. He married Mildred Barham. Christopher died at Hightown in 1545.

Robert Manser, son of Christopher and Mildred Manser, was born at Hightown, Wadhurst, Sussex in about 1520. He married Joan Rootes. Robert Manser died in 1592.

John Manser, son of Robert Manser, was born at Hightown, Wadhurst, Sussex in about 1570. He married Jane Snatt, daughter of John and Jane Snatt of Rotherfield, in about 1593. John Manser died at Wadhurst in 1598.

Mary Manser, daughter of John and Jane Manser, was born at Wadhurst in about 1590. She married Stephen Byne, son of Edward and Agnes Byne of Burwash, in 1612.
